Bourne Lifts : Honesty, Commitment & Quality

Bourne Lifts has been a local success story boasting incredible growth over the last couple of years. HOUSE Magazine spoke to Matt and Tarick at their HQ to find out why:

How did Bourne Lifts first begin?

In 2013, Matt Howgate started out with Bourne Lift removals, repairs and minor upgrades. I saw an opening in the market for bespoke lift company, offering more than the standard service.

How have you seen the company develop over the years?

Bourne Lifts Ltd has grown two-fold. Opening our new company Bourne Lifts Services Ltd and tendering a number of national contracts and some prestige projects in both London and the south coast.

Are there any projects that stand out or have been proud of working on?

Every project is the same to us, each project receives the same attention. We maintain a 5* hotel in London with 14 new lifts, lifts at Exeter University, high rise lifts in London as well as a broad spectrum of clients with range of different needs.

How do you see the company growing from now on?

The London market is growing rapidly whilst Bournemouth is much slower. In the next year, we hope to become one of the most well-known companies in the south coast. It is an exciting time for us.

What makes your business unique in comparison to your competitors?

We employ experienced engineers and managers that I have worked with over the past 22 years. Our equipment comes from no more than two suppliers, in which we have extensive knowledge and support.

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

In the past 18 months, we have doubled our service base across the south coast and signed contracts for over 20 new lift installations. We are excited to have great feedback from our customers whilst gaining new clients from word of mouth.
